Well done to the connections for taking him over there, tough as it was for JJ I'm happy to see him returning. Lets look forward to a match betweeen JJ and this Cape bomb Villandry.

Im sure Grecko will get his mind back on the game. Might even come back a stronger horse after all that racing.

Brave decision but probably the right call. All the best to connections.

definitely the wrong decision as he has absolutely nothing to prove in darkest africa..he did very well in both dubai and england by winning a group race in dubai and a listed race in england and placing in a few group races..any horse can run indifferent races so give him a break but to bring him back is like ernie els coming back to play in our local golf tourneys because he cant win overseas..war artist and tiza didnt exactly set the turf alight straight away but they certainly made up for it..being based in europe there are plenty oppurtunities for jj but coming back he will be restricted to a few races against the same shit opposition ..a sad day indeed and a pity that the sheik didnt buy him and let mdk plan his future

Surely ownership is not always about the money. People often post about the 1 good horse that comes around once in a life time and maybe this is the connections one good horse. They are obvioulsy emotionally attached to the animal and have every right to hang on to him and race him in their own back yard.

It may not be the greatest business decision but it certainly shows that some people do have a passion for horses beyond money.

I agree with Pirates, and we will have the bookies pricing him up too short on his return

The article suggests that they're still open to taking him overseas again. I hope that's the case. Maybe Lucky needs to have a closer hand in his training while abroad.
