Now i know my math sucks.. But I'm sure that with the help of a Calculator i Couldnt get this wrong..

But not sure if any1 has seen the Hollywood Advert on the Back of the Midweek Sporting Post (Monday 5th - Thursday 8th)

Where Hollywood post a "Another Big Winner" Advert
Showing a ticket that was played on the 28thSeptember 2009 @ Flamingo Park

INDIGO EXCESS 7/1
SPRINGBOK SUMMER 7/1
HES MY BROTHER 5/1

and the Full bet comes up to 48900/100

shouldnt that be 38300/100, i mean a 105(point or watever its called) stretch is that wat Hollywood is trying to say.??

or maybe i got it wrong.. who knows..

Its possible...did u calculate it on SP or ante-post? Ante-post could have been higher and then with a stretch it could go up.

ticket doesnt state SP on it.. got the odds.. neither would it show 48900/100 is it was a SP bet..

they normally just show SP 100 or something like that..

Hollywood offer stretch,so there is a 'stretched' price on top of the price on each leg, resulting in the bigger payout.

No i dont mean they took the ticket "SP" ...i mean price at the start of the race would be different from the price ante post...so i would think it depends what the prices were wen it was taken?

yea i know.. Indigo Excess and Springbok summer apparently jumped at 11 to 1.

but on the ticket in the advert states.. the prices i post in the begining of the thread.. Indigo Excess 7/1 Springbok Summer 7/1 Hes My Brother 5/1 that is the price on the tickets that was printed.

sigh pity my scanner in its chops or i'd scan it and post the image..

the bet was also taken at 13:30(around about there) half hour b4 the first leg jumped..

So Hollywood are advertising they gave this guy a 105 point stretch....there is really no other way of seeing it. Once you take a fixed price treble the prices are what they are!!!

Wow, what nice chaps. Now you can see why they would want to advertise this bet.....Every Sportingpost reader is going to start taking trebles and doubles hoping to get "the stretch"......

How does a bookmaker make his bread money??? Doubles, trebles and so on!!!

Problem is if i go to Hollywood ask for a bet of that EXACT price.. 7/1, 7/1 and 5/1 treble.. will they give me 48900/100 as well?? i seriously doubt it..

something tells me that a canceled bet or something.. :P lol

I have often found prices with Hollywood slightly higher on multiples. Where others are going 7/1 x8/1 etc etc the go 7,33/1 x 8.85/1 etc.

I could be wrong but have noticed this.
