stipes

Hi Allcan anyone help an old stipe - saturday strydom wins on a tiring horse and causes interferance - they call race review stipes and connections have a look -stipes dont object - jockey objects -in my opinion correctly so - stipes then uphold objection - why did they then not object themselves immediatley -are they not doing what they are paid to do or are they scared to embaress themselves? sunday
nesius objects against strydom -in my opinion he should have lost his deposit and been fined for a frivolous objection -once again stipes on the fence - maybe Fortune right -some stipes have no idea and NHA will never question them -come on guys get some balls and consistancy- i would like to hear what others think

I think we should get rid of all stipes and jockeys and handicappers let the horses run , they always seem to run back to the stable so it should not be too difficult

I had the same thoughts about the Saturday race...stipes call a race review.......they don't object but jock does...then upheld!
Are we to assume that stipes did not believe an objection was warranted???

That objection wouid have been upheld even if it was lodged by the fake Rolex vendor down the road in Rosetenville Corner.

No rule was broken, the right result was achieved. I don't see where the controversy is. What does it matter who objected?

I kind of agree with the majority on this post.....The stipes have a responsibility to protect the integrity of the racing results. The objection hooter should have sounded even before the horses were pulled up. (right after the head on was reviewed which I believe takes about 3 to 10 seconds to be lined up)
How many other jocks don't realise they have been in a incident due to a 100 reasons. When does it stop being the stipes responsibility and start being the jockey's/trainers???
I'm happy the correct result was given in the end but I am unhappy about the fact that the stipes did not opject.
Racing should be made "trustworthy" and safe for new investors....This is just one way where that can be achieved

magiclips i agree with you and so do many others re the result but what if the jockey didnt object- what are the stipes there for - as an ex stipe they have the benefit of stipes viewing head on and technology in the boardroom yet they dont object -this was a no brainer it could have been resolved in 2 mins- if they are not there to do that then why are they there ?-they just dont give anybody any confidence in what they do -punters owners jocks and trainers incl

Who is to say that the Stipes would not have objected but for the jockey getting there first? We are just spectulating here and going round in circles.
