Kenilworth - Tuesday
15 years 5 months ago
Heres hoping all the jocks cars make it to Kenilworth so we can have racing

Today I fancy a few. I'm going to take the treble:
Stormy Express (Race 1)
Upton Park (Race 3)
Capitella (Race
You could probably get around 45/1 if you ask nicely.
Happy punting

PENINSULAR HANDICAP (GRADE 2 R300000 KENILWORTH 5 JANUARY)
SELECTIONS NO 3 AIR COMBAT
NO 5 FORT VOGUE
NO 7 SENOR JET
NO 11 JAGGED ICE
This is a very difficault race to pick the winner and I have opted for NO 3 AIR COMBAT. Trained by Mike Bass and ridden here by Bernard Faydherbe this five year old advertised his obvious well being when running third behind Pocket Power and Big City Life. He was only beaten 3 lengths that day and if reproducing that run he might pull this one off. There are many dangers to my selection and NO 5 FORT VOGUE a stable companion to AIR COMBAT is clearly in with a winning chance. Ridden by Karl Neisius this four year old Fort Wood geldingis holding his form well enough and was not disgraced when runner up in the Premiers Trophy last time out over this course and distance. He has however been severely punished by the handicapper for that good effort and needs to have improved on that to win this. NO 7 SENOR JET has changed yards since a promising sixth placing in the Summer Cup and with the drop down in distance appearing to suit he is in with a chance here. Jockey Danielson comes down from Kwazulu-Natal to get aboard this six year old. NO 11 JAGGED ICE has not won a race in ages but his handicap rating has dropped down markedly this season and at a course and distance that suits he can cause an upset. NO 1 BILL OF RIGHTS needs to put his disappointing last two runs behind him if he is to give weight and a beating to this lineup. NO 2 CAPE TRAFALGAR has a wide draw to overcome but may place. NO 4 THUNDERING JET has trained stables and needs to improve to win but could make the frame.NO 8 ROYAL CHALON from the inform Dean Kannemeyer yard seems better than his last run and could upset. NOs 9 NOBLEWOOD, 12 STATE CROWN , 13 ROBINSON CRUSOE and 15 THANKS JOHN are all capable of causing an upset in a very competitive lineup. - Ryan Roberts

The cameraman thought the winning post was on the OLD course!!!!!!!!!

What must you do to get a decent product to beam out to these martian bettors who put hundreds of thousands of rands on our horses?!?!?!?!
Anyway....Good start for me. Doesn't matter where the winning post was
