Oscar time for Hollywood and co Jason - The best free advert the bookmakers in SA ever received and I hope all bookmakers now decided to sposor a meeting or two with all the extra revenue you receive - Sometimes the best things in life are free and you chaps are getting tons of free ads everytime a local race is run.

The simple facts are that these guys do not want us to see whats going on as they are pulling the lake out from under the duck....Nou doubt about that.
Everything about comingling stinks to high heaven, but there is nothing we can do, unless we stage a "sit out"and boycott one meeting. Unfortunately there just is no way of coordinating this unless we can come up with a way to contact almost all the players across SA and let them not play the tote until we get answers....
How will that work? No idea really.

Mr H- i represent primarily WF (obviously Hollywood is associted and i did manage the Hollywood marketing team previously), but Hollywood is my bookmaker of choice for a good reason. The punter comes first in the world of Hollywood and that is why i back with them!

Had a good nights sleep knowing the removal of tote banners on ABC was a move in the right direction and at this stage will stay down.

Tommy hotspur stated
"100k less taxes and admin charges = R87k.....THis figure gets shared amongst the winning tickets and so a dividend gets declared. Simple.....
Is it possible for the operator themselves to be putting in the late "winning bets" as this to me seems the only way that there can be gain in getting paid out R1.00 for a place as the operator takes the tax and admin charges which are increased by the pool size and still gets back the stakes ie R1.00

I can only count to 21 for purposes of Blackjack. So i am guessing no problem here then.

I have seen a similar performance before Mr Jack Straw and Collin Powell a few years back - the proof is a side by side view Night Racing 1996 as oppossed to 2009 - Any fool can see racing is dying and with these two captains at the helm the Titanic should hit the Ice floe sooner than later

With time to digest that farce,it is obvious that those sent to explain have no clue as to why the payouts do not make sense. If they had any results of any investigations, why no notes/evidence/facts or figures.
They also explained issues as they hope they are..banks/licencing depts./home affairs will tell you how things work, which is code for "how they should work",but don't.
They stated that some "outlets" are bookmaker on-line sites..no mention of take-outs...why not!
Tote machines are open 20 seconds for cancellations! Tote machines are open for 20 seconds full stop...they hope only used for cancellations!..and they hope only 20 seconds.
They relayed the story of "someone the other day put R20000,on the tote,at the last minute and it won"....what a f@rkin surprise...they have no idea it was "someone" they only know there is a ticket.
If a hacker could change the terminal clock by only 90 seconds..voilla...they will tell it can't happen..it can! It's no good expounding the tote rules...hackers change those rules and fraudsters bend rules
Next time they send someone to comfort, send an expert, with their findings, following proper investigations.....not guessing clowns in suits!
My best bit was Attenborough's statement that "our overseas customers object strongly".....crap...wheres the evidence/survey...he doesn't even know what his local customers want or object too!
