good I see somebody is listening as he has now been dropped from the one day team in the Windies.

Lots of issues covered in this seemingly simple topic:
1. Did SA perform up to scratch in the tournament - no they did not
2. Why - Reasons include picking some guys that are 'passengers', not picking the 'right' guys against a specific team; not executing the basics correctly under pressure
3. Is the quota system to blame- not entirely, but surely there is an argument that we are losing young individuals to other countries because of the quota system.
4. So how do we fix it - imo we need to rebuild almost from scratch and definitely get more professional in all areas - we are still rated as one of the best teams in the longer version of the game, but without reacting to the warning signs I believe we will start to slip in that area as well
5. When will the playing fields be level again - the sooner the better, but that's probably wishful thinking - some people seem to believe that 2 wrongs make a right.

The selectors are totally clueless ... for 20/20 you need BIG hitters, you cannot afford more then one "rock" like a Kallis in a 20/20 team, the rest must "moer and soek", now we go even further backwards and select Amla for 20/20, he is brilliant in test cricket, flippen hell he is not a 20/20 player, 60 off 75 balls means nothing in the short game. Dropping Boucher is a step in the right direction but lots more needed.
