LOL Shayne! I am going with Mother Russia, Greg. And I may take some EW on Tropical Empire and/or Kapil. If you see me change my nickname on the forum to fool's gold you know why
Pocket Power and Mother Russia are my roving bankers in my quartet.
I will take another two roving banker tickets with Pocket Power, Mother Russia, Tropical Empire and the field and PP, MR and Kapil with the field for a percentage.
Should be interesting.

CAPTAIN SCOTT, 6/1, think he'll run a big race today.
A big roughie - ALIF 33/1 in race 6.

The Pocket's been beaten twice in 11 tries at a mile, both times at Clairwood. The first time he was not in good shape due to a foot injury and was massively unlucky in running to get beaten by a ball hair by Successful Bidder. The other time he was undone by slowly run race and finished a creditable 4th behind Dancers Daughter.
The pace should be a solid one today with Blue Tiger setting the fractions as well as the Pocket being more forward in his prep than previous years. Its one of the tougher fields he has met in his career but I would say if he's on his usual game he will take a "power" of beating!

Some notes on the Clairwood meeting (not my home ground)
R3: Juveniles - anything can happen, but The Assayer has the draw and the form so should go close
R4: Very competitve - go wide
R5: Fastnetrock should place at least - lots of other to consider
R6: Another tough race - go wide
R7: I like Captain Scott from Goat - perhaps Red Rake if fit and ready - Rushing Wind could surprise this trip and Orbison will show today if he has really earned that MR
R8: Smart Banker to beat Pocket Power
R9: Juveniles - Empire Rose has the form, but may prefer shorter - lots of if's and but's about the others
