I think the Newlands wicket was prepared to give some of the salary stealers a chance to hang on for a few more matches...but they are so poor that they couldn't take advantage...when Rickleton is the highest scorer, you know how poor the others are...they too often play too far from their front pad (which they move only to make it seem like they trying to get in line) so head nowhere in line...just using hands and young eyes to hit the ball...but that only lasts so long...

Agree that the Ind / Aus match will likely end tomorrow...no interest though to sit through the night...will just catch the highlights (should only be wickets!!)...

Without  Bumrah bowling, injured,  India had little chance and it turned out that way. 

Pakistan really struggling against the SA attack. Hope that SA do not enforce the follow on as to see if Markram and Stubbs don’t throw their wickets away again. 

 

Oh well this match should now be all over by the very latest lunch time

 

 

No chance of that now as Pakistan have shown some fighting quality SA will come to regret enforcing the follow on. Who knows Pakistan bat for another 5 sessions and bowl SA out late in the 5th day on a crumbling wicket 60/1 on offer atm

213/1...likely a result of a tiring bowling attack on a batsmen friendly wicket...puts SA's inning in perspective...

25/1 now for a Pakistan win, if they get through this new ball, say 12-16 overs then game on as SA attack starting to tire now. My 60/1 bet starting to twitch now

Crossing fingers for you...Pakistan will have a lead if they bat through to the last session and 150-200 ahead will be a tough ask with the salary stealers in the SA line-up...

And the weather is all clear for tomorrow so a full day's play likely to bowl out SA...

India followed on and then bowled out Aus in 4th innings to win...

What sort of lead can Pakistan build in the last session to give your bet on Pakistan some legs?

5 wickets in hand and Saim Ayub may not bat so I think about 60-70 ahead at close if the two current batsmen bat for another 20-25 overs...

Apologies for late reply @tnaicker I would have said 180 which would have meant that Pakistan would have had to be batting tomorrow. Sami is in London having his ankle operated on (well so I think)

Great start to the SA20 comp. SA cricket looks alive and well for the future (in the 20/20 version) with  plenty of young talent coming through. Paarl look very good with a well balanced team They will take a lot of stopping and may well go on and lift the cup. That match between the Durban side and Pretoria the other day was one of the best that I have watched. They meet again today and without any doubt it’s going to be an easy win for one of the sides. They simply can’t have another cliff hanger as they did on Friday.
