Cricket season

154/0 in 12 overs and lose by 2 runs...Pretoria Capitals threw that match away...think they were 5/100 in betting at one stage...agree it was a good finish but only because the choke allowed it...

There was a 20/20 match in Afghanistan or Bangladesh the other day and team required 26 off the last over...6,4,4,6,4,6 by the number 7 or 8 batsman and they doddled it...

In my opinion, points to the weaknesses of the players in these leagues or the conditions of the format that allows mediocrity to excel...

Not a very good turn out in Durban but then I suppose Durban has its other attractions. Really enjoying the comp especially when the crowd all converge onto  each other trying  to catch the 6s one handed in order to win the money. Sunrisers after wining  the first two  chapters having a shocker in this the 3rd edition of the comp. 0/3 atm. Durban look good as do JHB. CTN doing much better this time with a brilliant bowling attack 

PS tip to whoever employs the commentators. You can save yourselves a mint by just employing those two clowns, Haysman and Pommie Mbangwa. The one just talks the biggest lot of crap and the other just shouts and whenever they are on they just hog the mic in an attempt to take all the glory eg when a six is hit or a wicket falls

Agree about Haysman (bad pre-Sanford, worse post-Sanford?) and Mbangwa...even radio commentators do not talk as much as these two do...

DSG were bowled out chasing the 170 made by JSK...De Kock and Klaasen had things on track and then they folded against the spinners...maybe the wicket got slower as it was the second match...

SA and NZ have the best cricket grounds for sceney and spectator comfort in the world, West Indies come and close 2nd to those two.

Proteas have found their new opening 20/20 batsman in Pretorious. This guy can bat now select him otherwise the England cricket board will find a long lost Oupa or Ouma living in some little village in England and hand him a contract

What a pleasure it is watching the match at  the beautiful Newlands without that motor mouth Haysman repeating everything that the other commentators say.

No doubt whatsoever that we will get an overdose of him when he is next on duty.

Saw that this morning Openers batted really well as did the keeper. Extremely damp outfield. Lots of rain in that part of the world. Very nice there but can get very humid Malaysians are lovely friendly people 


 

Sunrisers starting to look good now after losing 3 in a row If they beat the Capitals today I reckon that they will make top 4
