Pirates a Sharks horse won the Allan Robertson two years ago. I think this one is better and that Stormers horse Agra isn't coming down for the Super 3 this year. The acid test will be on Sunday though.

Barry are you trying to say The Black Rose is better than Agra, or that Agra is much better than a few pounds with The Black Rose?
I hope she recovers soon, she is a top race horse

There's nothing wrong with Agra, ShezaPunter, the connections have chosen to save her for next season and made that decision immediately after her win on J&B Met day.

Sorry, Craig, I didn't see Barry's post and was just going on what JS said on Met day. That is bad news and indeed I hope too that she recovers soon (sorry Shezapunter).

Sheza there was more dogs barking that Agra was toying with The Black Rose at home than starred in the 101 Dalmations, before her Debut

Magic, I understand, but knowing how horses work against each other in their preliminaries sometimes can be more helpful than guessing. That's why bookies expend so much energy and resources on such matters and have done so since horses began training on the Newmarket Heath!

Magic, here is an age-old handicapping question for you: aside from comparing form to determine the relative worth of a horse, how to you handle the ease with which they win, which is incalculable by the use of figures and, in some instances, is what separates the men from the boys when it comes to assessing horses? I would be interested in your answer. Thanks. Barry
