Agra/Franny/Valdivia

Well i might be getting carried away but i think we have a great crop of 2yo fillies?
Franny Ruffian Stakes
Agra winning her listed race
Valdivia winning on Debut
2 have Listed form and the other was super impressive looking..
Allan Robertson looks a race to look forward to although Hotline hinted Agra might not run again for a while for some reason?
so maybe we can include her stable mate The Black Rose although Agra is supposed to be superior to her - winning her 2nd race

On my very tentative persional 2yo ratings I make The Black Rose a couple of pounds behind Agra, but TBR might have a bit more scope of the two? I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that Agra was super prepared for those two exact races. I think Franny could be the best of the three, but there's no collateral form to "prove" that one way or the other.
Amongst the colts I'd find a race between Soft Falling Rain and Reign As Kings very interesting. I don't think there'd be a whole lot in it, although SFR may have the edge over 1000m.

Oh, and let's not forget All Is Secret. Also very emphatic winner on debut.

I can see why racing people seem to live for ever ... every season brings out new horses, new hopes, new champions. How could one bear to die now and never know if Agra trained on, if Franny is the next Igugu, if Black Caviar and Frankel ever got to run against each other and, if so, who won?

ShezaPunter - Some of the top 2yo s mentioned get beat back home by some unraced babies - so too early to label any 2yo. Lets wait for the later part of the year.

No doubt there are plenty of bombs still coming - but there is always one better at home. I remember being at Greyville in 1978 (!!) when Bold Tropic won first time out. The second horse had not even finished before I heard someone say that his trainer Fred Rickaby had a better one back home.
34 years later, and I'm still waiting to see it.
