Agreed but what you 4got to take into account is that they had more than 1 runner on the day...

SILENT WINGS opened 12/1 started 9/1 (touched 6/1) WON
SHEA SHEA opened 11/10 started 17/20 WON

Titch, this all falls into the "I've made up my mind, don't confuse me with the facts" category.>:D< As I said before, they can be right ten times and not a word is heard, but let them be even slightly wrong once - World War 3 erupts.

Typical, really.8-)

I concur with everything that Pirates, Magic, Titch and others have said about Jeff and Red Fort.

Red Fort is probably not a star in the stable. It was a weak field. Trainer did not think it was a 9/10 shot though and nothing wrong with that.

Racing is not for the feint hearted. Get real.

Is it not also possible that Red Fort is something of a staying type whose fast work over shorter distances doesn't amount to a whole lot?

The ironic thing is that this very thread was started asking why trainers don't help the punter by creating a forum where they could give opinions/thoughts regarding their runners......the term asked and answered springs to mind.

agra,titch,..i ask u...whats the point of hearing post race interviews... for me..its to get some kind of insight to the chances of horses the trainer or jock has for future events or races sometimes on that particular meeting or maybe even for other races that is mapped out for that horses career.....now i am not gonna take all the other winners woody had or the comments of all his other horses that did not show....but i am gonna take the instance of RED FORT....U BOTH KNOW what i knew about red fort and u both know from where it came....how can woody justify those comments on national tv...he knew the strength of the field...i think it was totally misleading....and just a point further had i not known about red fort like the the way i knew about it yesterday...i would have been put off by woodys comments....the point here is...he knew that this horse had a fair chance of winning...i guarantee u...he knew...he had no right to be that negative on this horse....and if woody denies this....then maybe Ravin is right...he doesn't know his horse...but i doubt that....
