Titch, does dead heat rule mean HALF the bet ? 1000 / 1000 then becomes 500 / 500 ?

Confirmed with Colin Fourie that the dead heat rule applies..but that is academic ..if you have backed Gavin you can start spending your profits

The Gold Cup is not a prestigious race therefore our leading jockey Gavin is riding at Kenilworth. Perhaps he knows he will find it extremely difficult to win a race on Gold Cup day at Greyville.

Tero, he wants to win the championship. Nothing wrong with what he is doing and no disrespect is being shown. When you been going for 360 days you try maximize your chances at this stage. Pity you take a negative spin on it.
