Chippy I say again - I don't care what the rest of the world do - South Africa and Zimbabwe are two separate countries - and to think that after the 2010 WC people would still think that we live in huts is naive - Lets get real it is a major error by the NHRA and it should be corrected - I am proudly South African but not proudly Zimbabwean (or any other country for that matter) - Any person that still thinks South Africa is a large game reserve is an idiot !

Lerena seems to be keeping the PRESSURE on Marcus.

Why does Cricket differentiate like Proteas and Rugby Springboks etc?
So does a Zim qualify to be part of Bafana?
Someone needs to be more consistent.
As far as I know England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland all make up Britian.
Do we include Rep of Ireland and why not??

let me remind the " youngsters on this website - those under 40 ! " ZIM was good enough for MUIS ROBERTS 25 - 30 years ago........so what has changed ? ZIM racing STILL falls under NHRA, so I guess jockey wins form ZIM WILL be counted in SA stats, until Zim breaks away from our NHRA
go GAVIN go............ TWO nailbiting days to go, then you can go on a long earned break.

@ Elvis. Damn right and Muis had to do it with both Basil Marcus and Robbie Sham also raiding Bulawayo. Nothing is stopping Anton from also raiding Borrowdale.

I know Michael Muis "The Ace " Roberts was 11 time S.A. Champion Jockey and I don't think Borrowdale and Ascot wins made up the best part of those titles, as it is implied.
However more importantly Michael Roberts was British Champ Jockey in 1992 with 206 wins and with due respect to all our current jockeys, it is a very high benchmark set by Roberts and I wonder if it can ever be achieved again in the next 50 yrs by a S.A. jockey?
Did Striker not have a stint in U.K.? [unsuccessful]

It should not fall under the NHRA that is the point -

mikesack, it doesn't matter if Muis had 1 win in Zim or 15 wins in Zim............ it still put PRESSURE ( GAVIN excuse the pun ) on his nearest rivals, and EVERY WIN COUNTED to the TOTAL, why else would MUIS have travelled to Zim ?
