Hi All

I have not been following this thread so if I make MY observations that have been raised already please excuse my ignorance and /or stupidity.

I believe it is race over and that Anton Marcus will again win the Jockey championship. My reasoning is that he is employed by the one and only who controls Racing in RSA. This man has horses in many stables and then dictates which Jockey MUST ride them, especially towards the end of the season and even MDK is in this catergory. I truely never thought MDK could be dictated to in this manner.

So IMVHO it is a one horse race, lump onto Anton chaps. Looking at the standings it is between Anton and Gavin and in my heart I hope Gavin wins but doubt that he has the backing to do so, even with his Zim winners.

IMVHO I believe that Anothony Delpech is the most UNLUCKY and UNDERRATED Jockey in this situation and if anyone really deserves to win then it is him and he would if given the same preferential treatment.

Just my thoughts and not having a dig at anyone.

Gavin has done bloody well to be only 1 down on todays cards to Anton............ in fact he's done bloody well to still keep his nose in front ...Anton has by far had better mounts / favourites than Gavin all week.

Go Gavin go................ bring home a 4 x timer in Zim on Sunday.

I am sure he is 2 in front and have to agree he could have been many behind considering odds

Needs a few in Zim to keep Anton under pressure

the Joke is that if by some miracle Zim decided to race two times per week you could have a situation where a Zim based Jockey could win the South African Champs- Disgraceful rule - I am actually offended that South African Racing regards Zimbabwe as one of its provinces.

The NHRA that governs our racing is the
National Horseracing Authourity of SOUTHERN AFRICA as was the Jockey Club of Southern Africa

It is the same as Singapore/Malaysia who race under the same rules

Ngong has never been included nor Mauritius.

Why was it ok to count Zim when it was a thriving country but not now???
If it were not for Zim, SA would never have had Ipi Tombe, the best Turf Mare in the World!
