Titch,
Prominent owner and racing personality backs Maak n Plan in the last race. Prominent manager gets aggravated that his price was stolen and to mislead the entire public goes and claims Jolly Along 4 times so as to make it 16-10 knowing full well that it will be scratched it the morning.
So now a massive deduction will apply and he gets his revenge. Meantime we are all meant to study the card tonight and wonder which one is the right one in the stable.
This is one of the most selfish acts I have seen in my many years in the game. Lets not go blaming any bookmaker for doing this. You can all guess who is responsible and this from a man who comes on TV preaching that the industry needs to be improved.
Sleep well pal ......

It doesn't sound like you are guessing Harris. Either way, lets hope the truth gets exposed publicly.

Person "A" backs Maak n Plan. Person "B' gets angry as he believes A stole his price. He believes he is entitled to back Miller horses before anyone else does. So to prove a pint he claims Jolly Along 4 times. Now A is who took 18-10 and 12-10 will receive a massive deduction on his bet and B gets to show him who is boss.
I hope you understand now. Shew :S

what the hell does that have to do with the actions of person B ? He knew Jolly Along would be scratched and claimed it 4 times in a 10 minute period.

It sounds more likely that person B was put here for that purpose..

Would the term ''n boer maak 'n plan" be applicable here in a sordid way?

looking at the bigger picture what about the innocent punter who might have backed maak a plan outright in single bets or doubles and trebles and now he has to suffer...incredible to think that here we have a horse that has exposed form and punters who backed it and they have every right to will get punished because the connections didnt get on first...considering the poor phum results on local turnover the industry needs to get its house in order as this scenario must be dealt with severly...i await with interst to see if jolly along is scratched

If it is the case..and this can quite easily be verified ~ then heads MUST roll...judging by the time span of the claims they were all done on 1 phone call...

You at least got one thing right Titch, you are simple.
Someone backed the fav to win 30k or so, clearly unaware of what's about to happen next or they would have waited.
Then the coupling is backed to win about 150k.
Its reasonable to assume that If it was the same person betting both horses, he would have played the longer horse first.
If either horse is scratched, the other suffers a nasty deduction.
If the 2nd horse is scratched, then this was set up by someone with inside knowledge that it is a certainty to be withdrawn.
Obviously, Jolly Along being scratched probably shows prior knowledge, and both being scratched would be a cover up.
Who knew Kimberly would get this exciting?

Only bookmakers can "claim" a horse - all done
online through claims.bookies.co.za
