Every trainer today without exception when discussing their runners all eluded to the fact that they are racing for 2nd and that Jackson will be very hard to beat even from the wide draw..
Give everything but up!

Titch, before i sign off and watch the soccer, i think you will agree MDK has never been the Mike Azzie bullish type person. Whether it's been a first timer in a Maiden Plate race or a runner in a Feature race, he has always erred on the conservative side with his comments, you never hear things like, "who ever beats us, will win the race". The next 9 days will be interesting, to hear the various "whispers" coming out of the respective stables.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

The "souvenir" books which preview the July (main race) only, should be on the street by Monday. When you say 0-400, i assume you mean 400 to finish, and based on the everyones last run, i will hazzard a guess and say Ilha Bela is going to have the fastest time. Please let us know when you find the answer.

If I remember correctly Delpech is a Seychelles jockey but that has nothing to do with his ability and also that he has overseas experience, so if u feel he will win again, u cud be rite.
However read a newspaper report that owner Mary Slack does not like to run her horses in the July especially the fillies b'cos of the tough nature of the race, but who am I to pass judgement, let's leave it to the maestro MDK himself.

@ Pocket Power

Just to elaborate further on the Delpech/ MDK hat-trick attempt, the only missing factor here is ...... u guessed it!
Sheikh Khalifa Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. Last 2 winners were horses bought in by the Sheikh who races for the fame and glory,so perhaps therein lies the rub?

So far im sticking with BEACH BEAUTY to win the 2012 July. She's a horse that takes long to get to top form and this time she wil be spot on!

Place bet wil be on Chesalon for second and Jackson for 3rd.
