I certainly am not changing.

HI all

I am new to the clan and must say that you guys are really spot on sometimes!!!
I really don't have much time at work so when I get a chance I will post my 2c...lol
I was really impressed with English Garden , Gold Onyx and Ilha Bella this morning especially from the head on shots. These horses for me showed the utmost confidence and class but my outright selection for the July will have to be English Garden!!....10/1 is a real steal....good luck all!!!

Hi guys, any idea if the gallops will be on Youtube or any other site for us to see each horse?
I know last years gallops was downloaded on youtube for most of the horses

on wat i saw and the form of races leading up to july i think jackson will win easy followed by english garden,p jordaan and castlethorpe.cant see any tarry horse making frame and cant hv ilha bella,jhb form just to poor and vettel will be lucky to finish in 1st half of field.results in kzn feature season has led me to believe that cape boys will dominate on july day.certainty on day will be ebony flyer,jackson.take double and collect.

Jackson is the best handicapped horse in this race, followed by Ilha Bela.
They both will love the distance.
Jackson is just pure class and Ilha Bela is trained by MDK (who does magic with fillies).
IMO these two will beat the rest of the field easily, considering that the better horses like Pierre Jourdan and Tales Of Bravery first have to fight the weight on their backs and the rest with lower weights just don't have the class. Eton Square could be a surprise, looks like he will enjoy the trip.

Ilha Bela was impressive so too were English Garden Sage throne Pierre Jourdan Beach Beauty Jackson and Polar Bound. I thought English Garden was the best. The Sangoma predicted Smanjemanje Jackson and Ilha Bela in that order. At the panel discussion after the gallops Kevin Shea said that Vettel has come on a lot after the Daily News 2000 and be put off by the horse sweating. All 3 panelists tipped Sage throne to be in the first three. Gavin Van Zyl gave Eton Square a huge place chance. He said that Eton Square is a better horse than Shogunnar and on par with Slumdog Millionaire. Awesome morning

Shrek don't you think Eton Square got a shout this year..how did he gallop?

Oscar Eton Square I believe galloped at Turffontein. His form coming into the race reminds me of Angus going for his first Met and at long odds only just got ran out of it by Polo Classic. He is the unknown factor as he has very limited colateral form. He could be anything and Gav rates him so could be the surprise package.
