That's the problem with a day like this...Everyone is trying and everyone has a good thing. Luck in running plays the biggest role, because most have prepared for the day(:D

My Strategy is like this,Hearty full scottish breakfast, refuse to go anywhere(shopping outings etc) open my Sportingpost and winningform (courtesy of a friendly SA bookmaker) .Top up all my betting accounts and undo my trouser belt(thats if i even get dressed)..

Now it`s an early start in the UK 10:35am so not too much time to wait until the fun begins..

Some respected members are struggling to find any bankers or good bets but i really really like Cossack General race1 and it`s gonna be an all or nothing day for me go go go the General

Anyone think that there will be a fast pace for the July? Willing to sacrifice for the stable companions...Or will it be each to his own, trying to win the race?

Pirates,almost my strategy.
I love these days for the hype and spectator appeal ............but from a PUNTING point of view ,the July is just a MR handicap over 2200 for me..........that sounds pretty boring but how many times have you ,or people around you said............."good day but I did my money and because it was a big day ,my losses are twice as much?"

Surely De Kock has to set a decent pace for both Ilha Bela and Gorongosa...

I'm just wondering if they set a hell of a pace or try and steal the race from the front, and then Gorongosa's stamina will pay off...or let the runners from behind stand a good chance...
I hope the first few races may give an indication of where the going is best and if the horses coming from behind stand a fair chance and then play places according to which horses it suits.
Not having been involved with horses/owners/trainers strategies...do they try to beat the favourite/their main dangers by running them off their feet etc....?

I agree 100%!! We have a tough race on our hands here but I must confesse that J.Snaith is not a fool and I think he targetted this race as the one for EF this year. PV with Marcus on has got me more worried than her previous pilot,we must all remember that the Jockey Champs is also still not won yet and Marcus would dearly love to finish this chapter too.

I just think Ebony Flyer is more suited to the 1600m but I don't think it is race over by any means.

This is what I have done on Sunday night at Bettingworld. ( one of the my bets) .

I took an early double.

Cossack onto Dubai
11900/1000

If it arrives then I got ammo.
If it does not.............then we will see.
