July Day Strategy

Feel it, it is here!!

With under a week to go I know we all have our own theories about betting on the big day, thought I would get the clanners sharing. We all have different amounts in our own kitty but what is the play of the day and how do you structure. Majority on straight bets, doubles? Exotics? Try to find one early to increase the betting fund?

Along with a few clanners I think the PA should pay and will be my major play of the day. Don't like any bookie bets on days like today and will look to play small wins, places, swingers, exactas quartets etc. per race. If PA comes alive, all onto Ebony Flyer

What are the other clanners strategies for the day?

@YG my strat to build the kitty i am firing Cossack General to hopfully get the bank rolling and with you a 1000 times lumping EF to coast home , with huge fields a good PA is teh order.

Percentage quartets rove my fancy,bythe top three in the betting as well as my three best 'dogs'.... 10% for R48. Two on the day and you can be looking at a very decent profit.

A Couch/Gas heater/ TV / Remote/ cooler box/ cellphone/ snacks/ Head Ache tablets/ IPAD.

Will be married to the same women for 29 years on July Day. My weddding was on July Day. So, i am not going to the course, have to give it a miss this year and spend it with the love of my life. To those attending, break a leg.()

Will be making my annual pilgramage to the track, staying at the nearest hotel to Greyville, have taken my July bet, will probably only take one other win bet and share a pick 6 with a few mates?
Get a few nice pics for the site and have a social day.
That is the theory but if my July fancy gets beat will probably spend the rest of the day trying to chase and punting on anything from local racing to jumps in the UK.

I also have 2 big fancies on the day, Jackson and Ebony Flyer. That is why I am so dissapointed the Garden Province doesn't form part of the PA and Pick 6, the 2 Juvenile races look like a mine field and the Gold Vase and Thukela Handicap not much easier it would have been nice to WFA race thrown in to ease the exotics. If deciding to play exotics I will have huge perms everywhere with Jackson a banker in everything.
