ok then, lets just call it banned substances.i hv nothing against mdk, hell he put our racing on the international map with his exploits in dubai, but the fact is, he is a trainer with 3 strikes to his name,i dont know i f he was guilty or not, but at the time the powers that be found him guilty and he got warned off for life if found guilty again.those are the facts so i assume any trainer who gets 3strikes to his name will get same treatment as mdk.
in other words unlike baseball in horseracing 3 strikes doesnt mean you are out!!

Banned substances and prohibited substances are two completely different things. Prohibited substances are medications that are used daily across the medical and veterinary world, but may not be present in an athlete's system while competing. A BANNED substance is a drug or medication that has been outlawed by a sporting or equine sporting body (FEI, And various Jockey Clubs and Horse racing Authorities) around the world. That are normally acquired illicitly, and are often not registered for use in horses. Some may argue that they are detrimental to the athlete. Each country varies, on both lists. Prohibited substances may be present in athletes/ horses between competitions, whereas Banned Substances may never be present in an athlete's/ horse's system, at any time.
Flumethasone is a prohibited substance, not a banned substance.
