GB, i went to a high school which was not in the greatest area, but hey, we loved our sports. The fields were always cut and the soccer and rugby poles were always up. We had great tennis courts etc., but when i drove past there the other day.....damn, i couldn't even see the school building through my car window! the grass was too high.

By the looks of things, there is NO sport happening at that school! It is such a shame and i felt very sad about the situation.

Why is this happening though? Is it the money they need to keep clean (no funds from government) or is it the teachers that have no interest in coaching the different sports out there at the schools? There is SO MUCH kids with big talent that is falling by the wayside. I love my sports, so this makes me very sad/angry!

The whole education system has failed the next generation unfortunately, 20 years ago we had a top class education curricullum, admittedly it was for the whites but hell why did the ANC change it to the outback edu system which had been a failure all around the world...(td)

mr hawaii, a few years ago I was in Aliwal North and decided to go to the hot water springs, well.....:X I havn't been back so not sure what it's like now.

The "Benoni Public Pool" is part of Job Creation .... The pool is in an area demarcated for the sale of imported goods namely.... DRUGS. The street is infested with drug-lords and hookers. Disgusting.
