@teamwildracing:

and just who was in tears when hammered by the panel on contradictions, inconsistencies and coming from another country to gang up against the locals, besides depriving them of jobs?

Or, was it at another hearing?

Great "discovery" of the facts today on the Kenilworth Racing deal but perhaps the most damning evidence given today was when VIDRIK admitted that all of PHM management terms were accepted without ANY negotiation!

Honestly Mr THURLING in whose interest were you really dealing? And that WC Members is why 18 months ago I said to your board that we would improve on all terms offered by PHM!

Over to the members now to decide on the facts! Pretty sure tomorrow will be another cracking day.

Thanks Charles and Alex, worth a listen.

The truth should come out, my question would be; if it is blocked and it appears Purple Capital would not have an easy task taking over?

Are there other options? or interested parties and in the "frozen" period what would happen to Cape racing?

Could this open an enquiry into the selling of Gauteng racecourses/assets?

If its blocked WC Racing goes back to its original structure under Gold Circle, so no frozen period.
Any deal with any part of Gold Circle would:
1: meet with approval of the respective boards
2: be approved by 80% + of the members of GC
3: be approved by the respective gambling boards and government bodies etc

So no there certainly is no easy task for anyone trying to take over. The members rightly hold the keys, they elect the boards and control the votes, strong trusted leadership from within their ranks needs to surface to lead them from here.

On an open and transparent platform GC will have plenty of suitors from which to choose the right solution for their future.

Gregb

I believe that is already underway, thanks to a complaint made to the public prosecutor by Phindi K.

Note to the Dallas lovers the other thread is for you ;)

I unfortunatly could not attend yesterday's CC proceedings but heard that VIDRIK tried to discredited me on the basis of my participation on "the forums" ..... I guess we are now all in the same boat.... :)

Harry every single part of horse racing needs a thorough public review, much like the CC, only then in my opinion can the industry move forward positively with the full support of all stakeholders.
