Expect the unexpected ......pace of each race big factor....stamina and fitness crucial because ...."eishhh....die boss hyt gapraat van ek moet gaan voor by die draai " 2 races down the straight gonna be blistering first 600m and each jockey want to take the bend first and these chaps dont mind taken a bend very wide.....big money to be made.....and the uninformed to get hammered.....good luck....hope we can make a small ching ching

Ziets, no disrespect but is that not a little self-contradictory.... you imply nothing can be predicted when these jockeys are involved (and I often think that true of racing on the sand anyway) but then you say there is big money to be made... how can you be sure of that when nothing can be predicted... or am I mis-reading what you are saying? :S
The funny thing about this card is that I like it more than any I can remember on the Vaal sand, a lot of the races look very competitive (on paper!!
).

lol will do tomorrow after I've finished looking... complete idiots not been strong of late Ziets, little I've really liked and done more in hope than expectancy... but had some success with minor idiots and pipe smokers.
But, as you asked, and as it will probably be only my reserve idiots in the race, as a little "taster" lol what about R7 7 Code Napoleon

Its going to be hard to predict these races as Ziets says. Im not going to bother with any wins/places/double bets etc.
Going to work on a big P6 or PA rather and take a percentage.

Sand surface has been topped up. The usual comedy of errors during the process..... some mess up at PGL's procurement dept re the orders of the sand caused delays, but thankfully, the truck drivers strike was just thereafter, so that they could blame the strike rather than their own ineptitude...... anyway, top up is done.
What remains to be seen is whether the sand is properly compacted or not........ the course has not been tested.... let's hope that it is not dangerous, in terms of kickback/visibility.
Just remember that this is the same lot who watered the Turff outside track before the rain, before Tuesday night's meeting. We all saw how the course was cutting up on the night ! Lets hope that the course gets us through half the season.....

I sense your frustration Louis, but thanks for the information regarding the sand, I just wonder if it will be relayed to the masses who will be venturing into the totes to play there 30 bucks today...:S

i have a formula i work on the sand with success based on Trainer,Sire,Broodmare sire, wet/soft/heavy/sand going,
the top rated sand horse in race 7 is:
nr 11 (33/1)with 20 points,
nr 3 (5/1) with 18 points
nr 7 (25/1) with 18 points
nr 10 (28/10) with 15 points
and then nr 2(16/1) , 4(14/1) and 12(33/1) with 10 points
Very very tough race but your 7 coming in on combined 2nd on sand ratings .....now that is the luck we need , this formula works and this is also how i found the 2 x 50/1's on scottsville and turfies on tuesday in soft conditions ....i dont have to tell you my roughie i like
