titch val da ra ended up a net 113mr via afica is a gross 113 plus how many races a horse wins doesnt make a difference to the ability of it it is what they win and against what opposition

Harry 6,5kg penalty for running 2nd has to have taken away at least 2 wins for her and the stakes that go with it...bottom line for the owner is Stakes earned ..anyway that is just my opinion and if I owned her she would not have run in that race as courageous a run as it was ....
Give everything but up!

titch what do you think her value as a racehorse was before her run to waw and then after her run?do you think it is more than two lousy wins in a mr 95 for our world class stakes?if they are concerned abt money they will sell her for double whats she s worth before she ran on saturday..

The problem with any sprinter in SA (esp a good filly) you are very limited with races. I believe those races available to VA in the future, her merit rating will have very little if any bearing /affect on her. It just goes to show you as with Val da Ra 11 wins for 1.8 m.

As mentioned on an another thread weeks ago.
3.5mil was already on the table even before the Southern Cross win.

Ja .
No idea why it was refused and I am not sure what the current thinking is.

If I was the owners, i will try and earn another mil in SA at least and then sell.
It might be that they are waiting for the sprint season at Scottsville in May.
