boys let us think of the OWNER for the change and not fall into the trap of the politics and the people who shine there egos.
the owner of the horse have good trainers in cape town. by send his horse to one of this trainer he saves himself a fortune. he dont pay airfares and accomodation for joburg trainer is just one aspect. also let us be honest who will now more of the cape training tracks the joburg or cape guy? in my opinion jooste is the clever one by doing what he does. now if this owner is fair, he will send the horse like hill fifty four to alexander to run in joburg big races? maybe summer cup next year? i think the guy bruggman is now doing his job. he identify the horse in one area who can do well in another area and send the horse to the right trainer their. well done to them they safe the owner money and get the wins in big race.

I don't give a sh!t who sends what to who.............can the punters just know who is training them and what yard, geographically, they are being trained in,so that fact can be included in assessment!

Flash are you for real??? I respect your point of view but what are you now on about? You have been in this game a long time but really bud if you just want to stir then I think you are lost. Some people have suggested not to,reply to your posts ! The truth is tell the punters the truth and move on ! Who gives a shit at the end of the day ? The horse is good enough to win and whoever trains it should just be told to the betting public - end of story!

Would be interesting to know which trainer "claimed" the 7% of the winning stakes.

Did you notice who was presenting the trophies for the Majorca? The Ringer himself
I have to admit that I thought Julie was going to represent the Alexander yard but sadly nyet.
Yip, the ringer was talking about the NHA not having a go at Alex....

bloodshot why now you say i stir? i believe the owner deserve what is the best for the horse he own. simple. i dont make rules that make this possible to have horse in another trainer yard without make public now. of course it will be better if the punter see this. what i am saying is the owner is being clever getting big wins out of the horse and safe himself the money by do what he does with ramsden. is all. i no under stand why now you say i stir? i say what i think not to stir. while i think about this what do you say about the trainer who spend less than half his time at the yard and leave the horse for the assistant/stable employee when he is not there? it happen all the time by the vaal.

Though some people have said its a storm in a tea cup, with over 2000 views and two letters in the press, obviously everyone has an opinion.
It's interesting after all that has been said, that Joey's comments was that he was happy to have played a small part in her most recent win although I can't believe he cared any less about her run on Met day as any of his others. Not a peep from the Alexander's except that Gary got momentarily confused about where Blueridge was going to and from next in an interview a few days after.
In my opinion, it's a pity we getting side tracked with assistants at the Vaal and what has happened in the long forgotten past. Most of the betting public believe that horses together have form together as one yard can be firing and another 50m away can't win an argument. While the NHA may have their reasons for how a horse is registered to a trainer (responsibility for having horses qualifying for races by being within the rules etc etc), we punters take that as given and merely assume that the rules take care of us to and we trust in the accuracy in print.
The bottom line is that a visiting horse can come from anywhere, go to the yard you rate very highly, and you may only find out on the TV interview if it's broadcast and you happen to see it. Unfortunately, anyone who lost on a race like that immediately feels cheated and another layer of distrust gets added to a big pile. That, I believe, is the point. Not who the individual names happen to be this time. Why are we not completely vigilant about how the sport is perceived? Lots of small things accumulate quickly, thats why good team chases every ball and wins fans.

Well said Jack ! I believe it is now up to the NHA to put measures in place so as to inform the general public/punter out there about such issue's. All the Clanner's have valid points and make for a good arguement, but ultimately it will come down to the authorities to rectify this situation for all. I just hope they have taken note !!
