Your Soccer analysis is atrocious ,maybe you know more about rugby than soccer as you mention Roman, is that Roman Abramovich the Chelsea owner? He whose team WON the FA CUP and Champions League Last Season Yet Still fired his Manager months later ? Now the same Roman is on his hands and knees begging Jose Morinhio to come back, the same SPECIAL ONE who he fired years earlier.

Good gossip and debates I love but you obviously have never coached a team ,run or owned a club. IF these same managers are so bad, why did they get the job in the first place? How good of a manager is Evertons David Moyes then, he has won nothing for 10 years yet several big clubs have asked about his services?

Devon winning everything as a soccer manager is not everything to some.
David Moyes has done a great job on a shoe string budget hence service required.
Everton is about money and they are not a rich club with unlimited money .
The weekly pay roll isbalanced and hence he has done a great job.
Roman has money can make mistakes and after seeing how good Jose is he wants him back.
Jose currently is the best tactition in the buisness.

Not going to debate soccer knowledge with you at this point but i think i know just a little.

I think David Moyes is fantastic but am very sad at how long Arsene Wenger is at OUR GUNNERS.
I am a GUNNERS fan.
Bring back David Dein.

Top class Administrator since he departed we have won F all.
But management not required according to some.

You wrong, I have several Evertonian mates who spend nearly 35% of their weekly income to take the family to watch the Toffees. Their loyalty is crying out for a trophy so try telling them it does not matter. The same comparison with Everton buying players compares to a smaller yard going to the national sales where he can buy only a select few horses. How can any small owner/trainer, outbid the Jooste`s,Van Niekerks,The Sheikh`s when they want to buy the same horse. They Can`t. Would love to know the stats on how many top stables horses never make the track?

Devon Air your points are valid but and i say but
Why do yards get big.
Gavin van zyl started out small and is know big why???
Paul Reeves in the Cape with shoe string budget is producing goods new trainer on the up.
Anyone can train a horse but only the best will get the maxiumum out of it.
This stable of Dorrie Sham is flying im sure they are using there buisness brain in training ad placing the cheap horses throwouts they have.
Wow they are flying with CHEAP HORSES THROWOUTS ETC.

Its not only about expensive stars.
Kom Naidoo is starting to flourish with his Gauteng yard sending horses for courses placing horses correctly.

Whats KOMS average price horse.

I have always wanted to know the stats on: Money Spent on purchasing horses by trainers X Stake money earned by said horses. Surely this will give one a clear indication of the HORSEMEN out there ? Thoughts ?

That's what I believe is the real test............one of the best I ever knew for ROI was Brian Cherry had a great strike rate from cheapies.........could spot the bargains.
I wonder who would qualify today.............I think Clinton Binda does pretty well on ROI

Stakes vs horses cost equalls liquidation sale.
The sales toppers are normally average horses.
In SA to spend big money you need your balls squeezed.

Or be lucky like Igugu.

Somebody do the maths on horses purchased by Jooste from a none Klavervleei Farm bred horse and see how much they are behind.
Dont count Aus as they have a few stallions
Do numbers on SA purchased sales you will be schocked as to the amount they must be losing.

Maybe start a new thread as has nothing to do with this 1.
