Did not see the race but did Love Struck and Laff bag his biggest payday in just a few raids to Gauteng?
Well done, that's won for the KZN boys, now the July hear hear.(tu)

Not like that at all.
From the interview I hear Laf did not want to enter it.
The owner insisted and he nominated and sent the horse to Soma

GUYS I I TOLD U ALL PREVIOUSLY LOVE STRUCK IS A SUPER STAR. ALL CREDIT MUST GO TO JOEY SOMA. TURNED HIM OUT BEAUTIFULLY. YES I DID NOMINATE MYSELF AS MY TRAINER SAID HE WON'T STAY THE 1800m BUT I PROVED THEM WRONG, TRAINER DOESN'T KNOW IT ALL? THIS IS MY VERY FIRST GRADE 1 IN MY SHORT STING IN HORSE RACING. .I AM STILL SHAKING. . THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS MOMENT AND THE MEMORIES WILL LAST IN ME FOREVER?

Owners often are not credited with knowing what's good for them and criticised for not leaving it to the proffessionals. Obviously Lafferty was so certain he was right that he went off to watch other trainers horses run, while his own ran sans him in a grade 1. I look forward to the spin.

Laff and Mr G are joined at the hip....where would Laff every miss a big party in Dubai to go watch his horse run in a Gr 1 he said it couldn't win?????Let's see if this horse ever sees his yard again......

well done to the owners of love struck good to see other owners winning group ones..dont know the details so dont want to comment but was this a blueridge mountain scenario as i thought surely someone from the yard should have present at the track?if this was laffs first group one winner then this is surely is the first time ever in south african racing or maybe the world that the trainer wasnt at the track

Pirates I think Mentor has answered your question. He nominated the horse himself and sent it to Joe Soma. Maybe he will let us know if he is going to send it back to Laff or not.
