i agree he played the man and not the ball...but if the man has the ball tied to his shoelaces he is inevitably gonna get tackled,man and ball at the same time...i hope u get my drift

RG I get your drift
- but I don't like his tactics in that case, play the ball and only the ball next time would be my advice. I like Craig but I take no sides over these issue(s) . For me, Joey lost some respect with this, not that he would care what I think but where there is one there could be a lot of others. Anyway, personally going to leave it there

The funniest thing on Joeys blog is that he mentions a Scottish fellow who is pleasant and good fun.
Who the fark is that?
It can't be Bob or Dave.
Is Chicken Scottish

@Englander:
'RG... there are some pretty unkind things said in Craig's direction ...'
Besides, the direct slant against ABC posters/members (which perhaps also includes a patron or two of his, maybe a groom Simoto?, owners, other trainers, jockeys that even ride for him, etc.... and of course, the incipient punters!) is an insult to all of us and stinks of an arrogant, superiority complex..... probably picked up from Mark Thatcher; in effect, we S Africans are morons if we on ABC?
If Joey is here on a work permit, send him back to England (they need his likes there... what with all the horsemeat being traded in butchers and Tesco!). If not, review his naturalisation /citizenship.
There are many countries which demand unflinching patriotism before they ever grant citizenship to immigrants / refugees...
Play the ball; obviously he doesn't like it now and owes ABC a hell of an apology...nothing less!
Failing which, I will support punters who will confront Joey when he comes to KZN, and even grooms to tell his grooms the sort of arrogant, insulting twit he is!
Plus, come this Saturday W Cape meeting, all Clanners resolve:
1. Not to open a post on the meeting, discuss or refer in any way to it;
2. Don't take any bets (bookie or tote);
3. Bookies supporting us, not to price up!
Apology first...Joey!
It's time for action now!

im not going to get involved with the merits of not allowing horses of certain merit ratings allowed to race in natal but would like to take up the point jr makes about the stud book being harmed ....having followed racing very closely and also attending sales for many years the problem lies with the stud book and the information that is in the catalogue ....if you want to show the real ability of a mare a sibling etc in a catalogue then YOU MUST DISPLAY THE HIGHEST NET RATING THAT HORSE ACHIEVED IN ITS RACING CAREER...IF A MARE OF A YEARLING WON 5 RACES BUT NEVER ACHIEVED MORE THAN A NET RATING OF 70 AND ANOTHER WON 3 RACES BUT ACHIEVED A HIGHEST NET RATING OF 95 I ASK YOU WHO HAD MORE ABILITY?the catalogue doesnt tell you where the horses won there races it ONLY TELLS YOU how many and if you dont follow racing day in and day out then you wouldnt know..... ....

@teamwildracing:
'[joeyramsden.com]
I find it laughable that suddenly some of my submissions, opinions and views shared at the competition commission are now shared by some of the "team" that strongly denied the same! '
Agree, the hypocrisy from within?
How can Ramsden address Rob with such disrespect, sarcasm and contempt (P & GC fund you....)
The canker in The Rose?
Seems the rot is definitely setting in!

When he was at Southwell training for he's parents he had plenty of mediocre horses.
Difference was that UK stages a lot more mediocre races.
Isn't it time for 2 tracks in each region,one turf and one all weather.
Have 2 meetings on a day,thus allowing lowly rated ones a run
