Not only is your 1st example technically incorrect as yes this was exported back to Ozz where she is a foundation of a familiy of above average horses. SFR may also be an export never to return as it is he will have a value beyond our local breeding bucks. His sire and dam are both outight imports. The dam now will be a possible blue hen mare in producing a multiple black type earner. Her future projeny will if as good as SFR go for ridiculous sums of money. Last year the half brother by freshman sire Sail to Seattle fetched ZAR1bar the day after SFR had won his 1st Gr1. I think that this horse may have been exported too.
So we are a nation of breeders that imports our bloodstock only to have them foaled locally and re-exported.....so where is the genetic enrichment you speak of.....:S

Umlilo,was this a Freudian slip........Rob does not (in theory) work for P &/or GC...........he works for an independent body of regulators called the NHA............or does he ???!!!
Personally I find it interesting that Joey clearly has as much respect for the efficacy of our regulation as I do. :

@Rob Faux:
'was this a Freudian slip........'
Reverse the roles of the players and interpolate; the answer is not ON TOP, it is WITHIN!
