Jackson

Even though loyalty is virtue I believe its time they tried a different rider on this horse. Besides the fact that the trainer continually tried to beat Variety Club over a wrong trip I also believe the pilot has been unable to get the best out of this horse.
Jackson is a decent horse and is at home distances of 2000+, with a more experienced rider on board we may just see this Dynasty win the July from draw 20 travelling 5 wide throughout(

Ken, i did not back Jackson last year or in the Cape Summer season, not because i don't think he is a good horse, in fact i think he could be great. The problem i have with Jackson is that I believe that there is an underlying problem physically with the horse and it is not the jockey. He is rested, comes out has 1-3 good races and then falls in a hole with no explenation as he did in the July last year.
I am not saying he cant win the July, i would be very happy for Brett & Ian but even if it does this horse is not a betting prospect for me. So they change the jockey, has one or two good runs and everyone says that the jockey change was right but then 3rd or 4th run it runs in the bush.......

The horse is class, the jockey is fine. He will get better with age. I think he has a problem on big days and gets nervous with the noise. I am sure Brett and the team have figred this out as well and are dealing with it.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

Tiger I don't think the horse has physical problems I think it has human problems. Firstly after winning the cape derby the horse's rating was raised to 116 from a mere 102 which to me was the first a mistake (this horse was ten points over-rated).
after that the horse was either running in a wrong race or wrong distance or just poorly poorly ridden..... I see his rating is coming down, hopefully it gets to say 108/110 which is a fair mark and then the trainer must get a suitable pilot and place the horse in right races...

the horse is 4yo turning 5 in three months time then perhaps retirement....

Ken, don't disagree with you but there are runs that cannot be explained and that leads me to belive that there is a breathing or bleeding problem or something else. I hope not and would like for Jackson to win the July for Brett & Ian.
