I had the same thought but thru politics, to tipsters to presenters which all have sweet f---all to do with the original post. Open ur own threads in the above regards and stop hi-jacking mine - haha.

Just a thought, if P have known about this set up (agreement between the Trainers) and did nothing about it will it mean that they in fact approved this illegal arrangement. Does anyone know when Kom must vacate by and where will the Horses go. Another question is if there is a Stable shortage in Gauteng then why do they only have a 8 Race card, like on this Saturday, and then cannot fill all the Races with maximum fields.

7days from last week but they have since got a court order!

This arrangment has been going on for two years, according to Kom there are /were white trainers who had this arrangement but were not evicted! Don't ask who because all will be revealed in court!

Not suprised that he wants to stay in Gauteng
last seasons stats
Gauteng 336 runners 33 winners placed 44%
Kzn 439 runners 25 winners placed 32%

A no brainer if you ask me

I gather there are quite a few Jhb based Trainers who have their names down for more boxes(many for a long time) who could get a little excited if Trainers based in other provinces get boxes before they do. How can a second yard get boxes before a Jhb based trainer gets the number he wants? They saying that if there are spare boxes after that then they can be leased out. If not then tough luck. Interesting.

This is an interesting topic and very " grey " but interesting

Small thought.......

yes subletting is not allowed but there are a lot of trainers that have had horses in others trainers barns and some that are subletting now, 1 horse or 25 horses- subletting is subletting. There are actually a bunch of trainers who started by subletting and ended up with barns of their own.

Yes Kom has been in jhb for a while now and ppl are getting impatient with waiting for boxes when they are supposedly high up on "the list". ( what list?? The list changes depending on who is putting the pressure on) Koms stats were phenomenal for the amount of horses he had up in jhb, he contributed to tote turnover, def in the top quarter, and he consistently had runners, thus contributing to the stakes. I can't see how GC and Phum can't see that racing is in trouble in SA and we should be promoting or doing anything to push for good competition, it's healthy obviously the complaining parties are threatened by how well a "small trainer" can be doing in the big boys town. There are trainers at training centers that have more than 75% of their yards empty and have been for a few months. Those are they guys we should be approaching.....

Yes the boxes at Randtjies are highly sort after and trainers who are expanding, from the center, should have first dibbs. But we shouldn't be pushing away the guys bringing in positive revenue, its the guys wasting prime space, and leaving boxes empty for longer than 3 months, those trainers are not nominating and not adding to the pools. "come now"

And some if this goes for kzn too.

We need to be promoting good racing.

If you not good enough, get better or find a new profession.

Sorry, that's just my opinion.
