Hullo Zorro my boy, very well put,ive typed so much and couldn't put it as well as you.The "scrapyard" in my opinion has the best tracks in Gauteng. For the record Mrs Moffet could probably buy any mansion in sandton if she wished, but they choose to live with there horses, such a bad thing. When you racing again call me re malaka, lol.

Hi Flash Harry & Lucky
What is a malaka & how is it different to an Eygptian malaka, I sincerly hope that they are not derogatory terms. Keep postong chaps I, and surely, many others are kept more upto date here on ABC than anywhere else.

I never understand why people get upset for being called a wanker. Does the truth hurt? :S

Excellent post, Frodo !
1) Vaal grooms have formed a committee and are busy lodging themselvescas an association. I am assisting them with the process. Both my and Lucky's assistants are on the committee, both have worked their way up from scratch in racing, great guys!
2)Relocation of the Vaal by 2020, when the opencast mining starts, is very difficult to accomplish, as the mines would have to fork out some R300 M to rebuild the whole Vaal elsewhere.
3)Mines have requested us to look seriously at coexistence. Vaal Trainers have done this, to the tune of about R118M required, but over a 10 year period.
4) At this point nobody is sure, so we carry on

Thanks for stating the current 'state of play' - so by 'co-existence' you mean we are going to have racing on mine dumps :S Not sure if the results will prove more predictable

Frodo,
There is a story that the open cast may be abandoned, due to there not being enough deposits in that area. The main coal mine will be kilometres away, be about 100 times the size of Vaal, underground and transported on covered conveyor belt systems, so very little pollution risk. Our objection was against the open cast mine, between us and the highway.
Watch out for results, from everywhere right now, countrywide - there's a virus doing its rounds and often we see no symptoms until the horse hits a brick wall in a race.
Harry,
Sorry to disturb u re - u mention the big stake earning of Johan vv in the Cup. How did Woodruff do with his ex rubbish dump horse, now at "clean air" Randjes, in the same race ?
