20 years after 1994 when Mr. Mandela was released so not much progress has been made with regards to improving living conditions for the majority.

J Zuma has been in office for the last term but his predecessors have also not produced the goods, Mbeki served 2 terms .

Now who has heard of 5 year plans.................................:S

Few years ago i was hellbent on leaving for Oz. Then a few personal tragedies occurred in my life and i reviewed why i wanted to leave. All i could come up with was
nothing but running from a corrupt inept insane government.

i looked at all the people who work for and with me all the friends partners and acquaintances i have in SA and i am humbled to call them fellow South Africans.

So no i did not leave i decided to stay and try make my little place in SA a better place for all i meet.

So i am proudly South African but disgusted by my Government and what they represent.

I really think it is unfair to criticize our current government for their abuse of power and state monies.
It surely happened under previous rule in this country just not so blatant to the publics knowledge!

Horatio you're joking hey? Most of this government are totally useless and incompetent and just lining their own pockets, including the Prez with his Std 3 and you think he deserves his enriching himself on taxpayers monies? No wonder the country is in the state it is. Comments like that should actually be ignored as they don't deserve reaction. Thats why the sight of robbers with bullet holes in the head gives the man in the street such gratification!

Fellow friend and farmer shot in cold blood last night . We 've lost 2 good men in less than a month to criminals .

Dynasty you are entitled to your opinion and that is your prerogative.
BUT don't slate my comment because you disagree!
BTW I do not condone the violence in this country, it is disgraceful!!!
I am disgusted with the level of racism still apparent in our country but you don't see me slating our previous opressors!

I just wish those in power would help those that are most affected by inequality in this country - We have never been so free yet many of our brothers live from hand to mouth - I besiege our government to give the people of this country the same opportunities I was afforded growing up and then perhaps we can be the most peaceful country in the world
