Cost of building an RDP house R54 000 (2011) call it 60k today.
Cost of security at The Compound - 208 million
3460 homes could have been built - I presume at least 4 people live in each house so almost 14 000 people's lives could have been changed for the better and many jobs created.
Sleep well No 1

It won't keep him awake at night. He will turn in, no doubt after a session with one of his many wives or concubines, and sleep as sweetly as a new-born baby. He's already chosen his god, even if he doesn't realise it or give it its right name. It's what Christ called the god Mammon.
He is serving it with a clear conscience and with all his might and cunning. And it has shown its approval of his service by elevating him above common people's worries and above things like conscience, justice and humanity.
Isn't he blessed? Can anyone dare to doubt that his god (that he calls God, but he's wrong, oh yes!) has chosen the ANC to rule SA until the Second Coming? And that in Heaven he will have the biggest Mansion in the place?

Sadly this will be a monument to remember the last Zulu President for many years to come.
Really hope he can turn things around for the vast majority of homeless in his next term, not that he has favored the Zulus over the other tribes.

I have the belief that the more homes that are built the more crime will drop as the spin-off will be job creation in various guises as the RDP house is basically a shell and any home improvements can only create wealth in various sectors and the new suburbs will require shops, doctors, etc - People deserve a roof over their heads and should not live in abject poverty when the leaders are so carelessly wasting their Tax Rands.
