Dale was bowling too well. They could not get close enough to touch the ball and get caught!

India aren't No 1 ODI team for nothing. I fully expect them to fight back in Durban. It just needs Kohli or Dhoni to get going with the bat and they can quickly rack up a big score. They won't roll over and play dead, oh no!
Steyn was great but he is also likely the most-studied bowler around today because of his standing ... sometimes he just won't get a lot of wickets, and less well-known bowlers will have more success.
But he must be terrifying to face, even when he's dressed in pink pajamas. ESPN (which is international, with a large Indian readership) had a survey of their readers who was the most scary bowler around and Steyn won by a very large margin.

Whoooo, I was wrong. Poor India ... outgunned completely. Great day for the Proteas, especially de Kock and Amla.
Unfortunately I didn't see anything of de Kock's innings and only saw enough of Amla's to see him get 100 and then go out. Powercut in Mthatha most of the day ... what was that I was hearing about the Mthatha Minicipality fixing the place up for the expected influx of foreign dignitaries and newshounds? Funny that I see no difference from this time last year.

Nice centuries from Amla and De Kock set S.A. up for a respectable score. Well done to the Proteas, esp after the PAK slae.
Sorry about the power cuts, Mav, must be terrible in that cold part of the country you in. Kokstad it is?
