OK...I'm mixing threads...but I just think that some small time owners want a badge with their name on it...free entrance...and a modicum of respect/attention...and a slight distinction for being an owner....

I am just guessing...I once ate some boerewors that may have had some donkey in it...(if I was lucky...)but I'm never going to be an owner.....my bank manager says it's something to do with the income deficit....but I have NFI.....>:D<

That is precisely the point - what benefits - and again to me the 'bonus races' are really no practical incentive as these (in Gauteng anyway) are few and far between so your chances of having a runner in one of them is less than catching a P6 >:D<

But it remains up to the individual to make up his own mind on whether the 'benefits' are worth it - I just can't see it :S

So now I must ask or consider the following from this thread :-

1) Have any actual RA members posted here and been negative about RA ?
2) The MANY who are so against the RA and post here - how many horses do they own ? (versus the numbers that do own horses, the numbers of horses they own and who are happy RA members).
3) Is it an intellectual deficiency, language barrier or maybe a genetic disorder which makes it so difficult to understand facts and basic common sense, in that the room was part of the sponsorship deal BEFORE the RA entered WC Racing ?
4) How many posters here ACTUALLY attended the meeting and had to sit elsewhere or ACTUALLY planned to go but now never went because of the price etc?

methinks that Racing and RA need not lose any sleep and that Larry wont be refunding any of us members because we are very happy RA members...... In fact, Larry could offer interest on the subs to be refunded and he would still battle to find takers....Or further, he could offer 10 times your subs back because the multitudes of "plainants" here are not members in the first place because they have a long "list" of reasons why they are not members etc, so, sorry, no refunds !

Why do we always look at negative things, we do not see the positive that people do, instead of things that are beyond their control we are ready to crucify them. Lets give credit were credit is due LARRY has done a great job since his taken over RA

Louis...there is a mixup of threads...there are owners....who in my opinion are being screwed... not by Mr Wainstein...but by the system in general....I respect Mr Wainstein's gesture...and it is in good faith.... but the owner has a valid point....

The owner is paying 7k keep a month for his horse and yet doesn't want to pay for a superb facility on a big days racing.?..Ridiculous to even be discussing this topic......maybe it's time he found another hobby that is free.....
