I worked for Horseworld and between the Jhb and Durban floats we often had 6 or 7 winners on the day , (tu)

lets tell more stories on how racing is rigged by those in the know....all it does is scare off would be investors and makes the game seem super dodgy.....just the thing to bury it for good....:S

One of the Guiness Book or Records had Bloemfontein as the most crooked racecourse in the world ...

And some punter / syndicate was so p!ssed off they sabotaged an airplane .....????? ..... sounds like Bloem is no loss.

Pirates i was a reident trainer at bloem and it was afact that it was a toss up between the vaal and bloem no bs bout that

Len and Pirates, you bring back memories.....

How many times we smaller yards were in big trouble and we got out of it in Bloem. Often Trainers shared info and took doubles with their two fancies etc. No funny business, just guys trying hard to stay in the game.

I remember, with humour now, the time when myself and a fellow Vaal Trainer both fancied our runner and both were in races in the Pick Six. Both were 12 to 1 and better. We sent our Asistants down to saddle as we were doing the business up here. We had tickets for the double in our hands for more than R200k each, would win about R20k each if any one of the two won, as well as two very strong P6 tickets, on the full.

And that bloody stupid Bus went and broke down , about 30km outside of Kroonstad ! Some passing Trainers crammed some jocks into their cars. We made sure that our Assistants put our jocks in our car and got them there.The rest of the Jocks refused to get into the two minibuses that were arranged and the meeting was abandoned.

The worst of all was that both horses came out and won their next start up here in Jhb, where we couldn't lable them, instead taking some small eachway bets, swingers etc,. My horse was called Nobleman.

Yip, I really miss Bloem.

I 2 this day have a videotape when iwon a race with a 6year old mdn that turned 7 a week later called orbelian beat a horse of dom zaki when they had a massive double clyde besil was the commetator he got more animated in commetery the closer the post came as he knew what the bussiness was khumalo was still a appie and rode my horse brillianly

goosen/spidy all amateurs compared to Michael Riley in bloem....sorry boys gotta call it like it is.

Easy when bertie vd merwe and paul whitmore were in bussiness nobody could hold a candle to those 2 but like we all know when the money comes easy it just goes that easy
