W E i agree with you, all the changes at Kenilworth and what the RA are doing is a great start. Huge improvement. S as for Larry I for one have a very high regard/respect for him, in his position and as a person, and if this is true I can only apologise as a Capetonian. He really doesnt deserve to be treated in that manor.
I think we all need to do our bit for horse racing however small. Whether it be moaning to the authorities, introducing new punters/owners to the game, giving credit where credit is due, taking friends/family to the races etc etc. What have you done for racing lately ? (general quest not aimed at anyone LOL)
One aspect of this game that really pisses the living SH1T out of me is our tote facilities. My local tote outlet has 5 aircon's not one has been working properly for over two and a half years now. Friday last week, it must have been close to 50 degrees inside the tote. Badly ventilated building, filthy dirty and at times raw sewerage has spilled out into the parking area. I have phoned on about five occasions over the last 2 years to our local moeggoe but to no avail. So I have compiled a letter to the local municipality with foto's and am asking that they close this facility down. It is not fit for any human being or punter (sic). Put that in your clean, liveable air-conditioned office Vee and smoke it !! No respect for the people that pay your salary and keep our sport ALIVE. ( You know who I am. Contact me before this Friday or the letter goes in. If you dont find out !)
That's my bit for this week. Last week was introducing 1 new owner and 1 previous owner back into the game.

I was fortunate enough to attend a new year's meeting at Kenilworth I think 2011. Loved it, loved the pub there, loved the parade ring, loved the viewing platform, loved the craic. Or may be I loved it so much because I bagged a lot of winners
- I did....
