Thanks Madji, was looking for her higher up the ratings. Thought she would be rated higher than an 85.

But what races would she compete in. Recon a mile too short, maybe the "open" Betting World Oaks and the July. I have her in a couple of my entries just incase.

Would be nice if someone like Deez could interview the top trainers and find out what their plans are for their better horses.

I have completely brassed any stayers as as much as I tried I couldn't find one. Hope my middle distance horses can make up for it.

My stayer is Hot Ticket - and I will probably end up drenched in that yellow stuff again - but I'm considering brassing Beach Beauty in favor of Cherry (if only I could be sure she will raid) :S

I'm also finding it very difficult to select a Gold Cup day stayer. I took a chance with River Crossing.

Looking at the fields for Saturday I see 12 is the maximum amout of runners for the 1400 and 1600 meter races. For the Daily News and Woolavington do they have bigger fields of 16 otherwise there could be some potential July runners like Futura prehaps missing out. Does anyone know what the maximum is field for these races?

Would be nice to know - I would guess that with the planning of the Poly, the max would be 16 (or even less? ) - also would like to know the whereabouts / plans of runners like Willow Magic and Whistle Stop :S

Agree Frodo would also love to know if Red Ray is coming to contest the Golden Horse Sprint and Mercury.

Well I'm going away for the weekend, so I had to submit my one and only entry (if I can't win it with one entry, I doubt whether I can win it with 10) - using my usual method of trying to cover all the angles (and some guesswork - more in hope I suppose), I came up with the following:

3 yr old fillies for the Fillies features (and perhaps the July)
In the Fast Lane
Lanner Falcon

3 yr old colts for the Colts features (and perhaps the July)
Captain America
Whistle Stop (hoping he will be in KZN)

Older male for the July and especially the Gold Challenge:
Yorker

Older females for the Garden Province (and possibly races like the Gold Challenge / July)
Beach Beauty (was my 10th horse)
Cherry on the Top - really expect her to put the record straight IF she goes to KZN

Sprinters
Via Africa
Here Comes Billy

Stayer
Hot Ticket

Good luck Frodo, we have 5 similar out of the 10, being Captain America, In The Fast Lane, Yorker, Beach Beauty and Via Africa.

I am taking a chance and not including any stayers and hope my choices for the middle distance races can do enough for me and an unlikely winner of the Gold Cup. :D
