Mr H there are numerous posts on this thread and others suggesting that Mr A was middled and that the horses should be moved etc etc...imo the main reason the Mr adams was upset was because he would have told everyone that asked him not to back it and was upset at inadvertently putting people off, he is very forthright with the chances of his horses and will give a honest opinion to anyone who asks, believe me it was not because of the money he could have won, that seriously was never a factor
Give everything but up!

i have read all these posts...1 thing i will add, is the last time SIMPLY BLACK...i was told that it wont get beat...but it did...the comment after that race was you dont send a boy to do a man's job...regarding the ride that was given...so,having seen that,it was obvious that Fareed was never going to ride that horse the next time it ran...so the stable jockey having first choice is all bullocks in this instance...if there was no coupling he would have been without a mount in the race....

You need to put yourself in Mr Adams shoes and see how it feels to be told to back one horse even knowing that your stable jock is on another, esp when its a first timer, and the backed first timer wins easy peasy. To me as an owner that is not on and not acceptable. The money Mr Adams has put into Cape Racing is huge and unless the people involved with the horse are absolutely clueless (which I doubt is the case) ten its being respectful to either tell him which horse is the best OR to say you not sure so DONT have a bet just run for the stakes

Made even worse when you own both horses

Again, please forgive my ignorance...why does it matter that HA is "pissed off " ?? Was his ego affronted by not being in the know regarding which horse ??

Everything starts with gratitude...being thankful for what one has rather than complaining about what one is lacking or been deprived off...

If the wool was pulled over his eyes and he was made the fool, then he must do something about it to ensure that it is not repeated rather than complain about it...

Again, of what relevance and significance is it to us that HA is "pissed off" ?? :S

The jocks words...IF the horse loads and jumps then it wins.....I know a few punters on course who had bets on the horse......if it didn't load Then they would get refunds.

Tomorrow will be a new day and Mr A will carry on as per normal... Hasn't been the first time and won't be the last time that he has "had his say".....

Mr Naicker
Like you say, it is of no relevance or significance to you, then don't let it bother you.
But....

Put yourself in Mr Adams shoe and Mr Adams has invested millions into this game over the years.
You have 2 horses in a race, you get told to back the one horse. The backed horse should be the one with a lively chance of winning. But what happens is that your other horse with the same trainer gets backed in.
Your money is not on because you were told by the trainer that the otherone is the right one yet the 2nd horse is being continually backed.
Remember you were told your other horse will win. So who was backing the eventual winner. whose money was on it.
I would be pissed bro.
