because I don't have the money to give him a horse simple with graded potential(also Woody, Tarry, Kannemeyer, Bass, Ferraris, Howells and a few others including the Shams if I still owned) - It is not about the ability of the horse but the ability of the trainer to get the most out of the horse be it a MR64 or MR105 - Perhaps my example of Man U does not suite you so I'll add Ackermann as the Lions coach -I cannot believe that Racing is the only "Sport" where the "coach" is absolved of any liability and the major responsibility for performance relies on the "players". That cannot be true.

Just a question. If Mike takes a horse from any trainer and improves it 3% over 1000m and Anton improves it another 3% as he is better than the other jockey. Will that horse run 60m better than he did before he moved? Ps can you imagine how much he would improve if as some think, the trainer and jockey make up for 20+% each of how the horse runs! Improve over 400m?:S:D

BUT you assuming that the horse in YOUR care is running to 1000 the fact is its running to 945 and then the 60m makes it a winner......

If they can get him sound and improve him as much as many expect he will then have you maximum bet!
