De Kock has a better overseas set up and experience, so it only made sense to change stables.
Also, although under the name of Ramsden, De Kock looked after him in Dubai.

Not taking anything away from Ramsdens work with VC in SA.

Well then does he now claim the mantle of South Africa's best ever horse(We cannot included those that raced here without going International) as he has out performed them all including Horse Chestnut?

Sorry but Jaypeg is no Variety Club as he did not dominate his home country or the world where as VC has -

Steve,,obviously VC has more races to come ,but Jay Peg earned over R30m ,which is 50% more than VC at this stage!!!!! (and Jay Peg had 13 runs in SA plus a handful overseas) VC had 19 in SA and ,so far,a handful overseas.
Don't think we should discount the ability of Jay peg!

(an interesting thing would be for someone to ask A Marcus how he rates both, having ridden both in their more important victories)

Make no mistake I rate VC right up there At a mile he is probably better than JP but over further
one would have to say JP
Same as always We all have opinions and I respect most other persons .
Best horse I ever saw Sea Cottage next Gatecrasher but also remember Hawaii Elevation
Colorado King who Syd Laird rated superior ti Sea Cottage
So work it out!!!

Agree entirely.................I think we are all more impressed emotionally with current achievements rather than history.!
