Well then even 5/1 represents value imo - has beaten Captain America twice - Louis the King not certain to take part - surely of the 3yr olds he must be the right one - only 'dark horse' for me is Whistle Stop - does anyone know what the plan is with him? Or do we have to wait for 16 May and the entries to the Daily News :S
Of the older runners, Yorker (weight and Greyville could be a concern) an obvious candidate with Hill Fifty Four - so Anton's / Brugmann's choice could be a pointer towards the right one; Cape Town Noir to me is better over 1600-1800; Beach Beauty most likely will go for the Garden Province again; as far as I know, Rio Carnival yet to win beyond 1600 - so I still prefer Punta Arenas above these 3.

Got a feeling that RAKES CHESTNUT might just sneak into the final field and maybe that will be ANTONS ride.

Cracking a draw at Greyville would help Yorker, was he not drawn very badly his two runs at the track?

But the Jubilee Handicap is only the 14th of June (isn't this a qualifying race?)...

Nick, from what I have read the winner of this Race will get "preferencial consideration" but is not a qualifying race. The final declarations are on the 23rd June with the Final Field announced the next day. From the past I would imagine the winners of the BW Jubilee, Derby and Oaks that weekend, if qualifying for the July, would race off their rating going into this weekend and not off their new rating. If I have this correct these could be good races to try and qualify for the July with without incurring a penalty.

some serious horses in this field. There's very little between Legislate and Captain America yet the odds don't reflect that, CA is a value bet. Tellina is a big runner and is generously priced.
