The July is beginning to turn on whether or not Yorker is a runner carrying top weight. If he stays in, it will advantage Legislate/Louis/Rake and the higher rated 3yo's while if he leaves it could advantage the likes of Futura as the handicap gets uncompressed (and slots become vacant).

In spite of rumours of departure and Woodruff's caution that he may be doubtful and comments here that he is almost a sure thing to be leaving, still the non-refundable trade goes on at 10/1.

Anyone know?

Correct Jack

If these rumours were abound about a horse running on this Saturdays Eosom derby , the horse would be 100/1 on Betfair now

Unless the quarantine deadline is moved to after the July, Yorker is a 100% cert to run his last race this weekend.

If the deadline is shifted out till after the July, he'll run. As things stand however, you'd best get down to Greyville on Saturday because it's the last time you'll see him in action locally.

You won't see him at Greyville this weekend - better chance at Clairwood :D

Why can't our bookies do what the overseas bookies do and put "doubtful starter" behind the horses name?

So what`s the protocol will he be able to run Saturday and make it into quarintine the next day?

What happens if he has a hard race and not able to travel etc?

Your guess is as good as mine. Although the optimist in me would say that he can't go and has to stay here :-D

This is pure speculation on my part but I would have thought that as long as he's in quarantine by the end of business on the 8th he's ok, so the way I see it, he overnight's in Durban and is put on a float 4am on Sunday. There should then be sufficient time to get him in the quarantine station at Kempton Park by supper time Sunday.
