Very disappointing that Yorker was withdrawn, I clearly recall Woodruff saying that Yorker was not 100% for last Saturday & it was a 'prep' run for the july! Misleading the punters

The decision wasn't up to the trainer. He was understandably mandated to prepare the horse on the assumption that it would run in the July. You'd have to be hiding under a rock to be unaware that the horse was overseas bound. Brugman said in as many words that the horse was 99% likely to run in the July but that the final decision would only be made after the Gold Challange. Not ideal circumstances to be fair, but there wasn't more that he could do.

99% does not equal 100%.
