More than most of the scared crowd can say.

The NHA have shown themselves to be a small minded bunch by this action.

When asked by my American friends what South Africa is like in terms of its horse racing. I invariably answer: think back to the mid 1950s or early 1960s.

The NHA, however, must be back another 50 to 100 years before that!

is there no other way to 'speak' to the handicappers or is the winning interview the best place to do it?

Can't send him a horse - it will just get handicapped too high and won't be able to compete()

Barry got touched by a 4leaf clover.....no handicappers only listed and above so no probs

I talk to the handicappers all the time.

They have no problems giving me their time and thought process.

I don't think they are Mr. Goosen's issue.

It comes from higher up.

And, no, I am not talking about God Almighty.

Here is an example of WFA (soon to be abolished if NHRA proposals work out).
These two met on 22nd June, where the 2yo (MR82) gave the 8yo (MR64) 0.5 kg and got beat 1.5 lengths;
The handicapper had the 8yo go up 2 points (1 kg);
Now the 2yo still gives 8yo 0.5 kg because WFA has presumed a 1 kg improvement from 22nd June to 9th July
