take a look at other international forums sports etc and Racing and see if the people being discussed actually post (and look at how Jockeys/players/coaches are bombed for bad rides/plays) - Nothing will get trainers, Jocks and RA/Phum to post - They do not want to interact or they would - What's the difference if Sharkman01 says he got bad service at a TAB or James Smith says the same thing- Just look at the great communication with the Teletrack debacle - They did not even use Teletrack to keep punters in the loop so why will they now use a Forum? I, and many others before and after me have tried to get them to use the Forums but they won't and use the convenient scapegoat of anonymous posters as a reason - Something wrong is still wrong whether James Smith or Sharkman01 says it!!

Also why have none of the RA/Phum(except a past CEO I think from the RA who I think has moved on) ever posted under the name of their Organization like Tom of the TBA did? They could easily then only accept comments from posters prepared to add their name to the post - Communication is key BUT they do not want to talk to the punters or they would(How many REAL surveys have they conducted in the Tabs?)

dont think Daves aim is any of this,,, i think he is just trying to stay away from sensitive stuff like race/religon and people insinuating crooking and naming where there is none and the slandered person is the loser

dont see Dave/Hibs blocking things like "What's the difference if Sharkman01 says he got bad service at a TAB",,,think this is exactly what ABC is all about, to help improve service in the game

ABC does not need their input, rather THEY need ABC's input

It's not about blocking it's the fact that people have posted a problem but it is ignored regardless of who posts it - Look at all the complaints about betting scrolls, International feeds, Tab site being down(going back years) NHRA rules not being enforced etc and yet the Operators don't bother to do anything yet we are led to believe if i sign all my posts Steve Blunden I will be taken seriously -
I understand that ABC has a duty to respect the rights of people perceived to being slandered but people like Jockeys and Trainers are Public figures and they should expect that punters will have comments about their performance or non performance - Look at the Betfair Forum and you'll see Hannagan, Turner and Fallon all being criticized for rides - On this very forum Soccer and Rugby players are slated and it is far worse on dedicated sites(just looked at the England World Cup forum and the Coach and Rooney are getting a pasting) Why on earth are Racing people immune to this?

100% - Perhaps the phrase - "you catch more flies with Honey than vinegar" should become the motto at the RA and Phum

criticism is good, accusing or insinuating crooking is bad

But if I send someone an email saying

John Smith asked this question on abc could you respond please

Or

Suckmyplums asked this question on abc could you respond please

Who would they more likely respond to?
