New members and unknown users,existing members ,who ever

We are currently developing a new website and will migrate over the next few months.

The website will basically be a one page platform instead of separate homepage and forums.There should be some more modern features and be easier to use from smart phones blah blah.

The reason i`m letting you know now is there might be some changes.

Probably the biggest change will be that ALL NEW members will be asked to provide ABC with proof of ID OR REGISTER USING THEIR REAL NAMES ,if they refuse they will be able to read only and not participate.

Long term members can continue to use aliases as normal ( We know who 90% of our members are anyway) but members that hardly post and have not earned "trust posts" might be asked for contact details or to re register.

this probably won`t effect the regular posters so don`t panic

we would like your thoughts and please don`t turn this into a i won`t post any more issue ..

ps I`m thinking of retiring Hibernia on the new site and registering in my real name ,others can follow if they so wish

I agree fully 100% with you Hibs, its the least the guys can do!

I think this is a great idea. Been hoping this would happen. Posters can still say what they want and give their opinions but it will help control those who are just on here to cause trouble and talk rubbish. It will make people think twice before just posting that absolute rubbish. I think it will make the forum far more informative and far less negative and possibly carry more clout when it comes to GC and Phumelela people reading it and taking notice of what is written. One of the biggest turnoffs for people employed in racing has been the flack/rubbish/lies posted by people hiding behind pseudonyms. At least now Bob will have their real names if need. (tu)

How will you verify if the id is real hibs? This is south africa , anything from
a gun licence , car licence or id is available cheap cheap from our local

From a technical point of view what I would like ito see changed is ithat instead of going to the last post, if there was a click that would rather take me to the FIRST UNREAD post. My reason being is that on a mobile phone (like now) I find it a bit of a hassle to scroll up in the search of "new".especially if there are many/long posts. But, for the sake of costs and inconvenience for others, its really OK if not.
