2nd.... Once again a loser on sand racing.

After looking at the stats, I have made 13 R20 bets, and my loss is now R33.84. So on average I'm losing R2.60 a bet. The best jockey has been Anton Marcus, with two from two wins, and the worst jockey has been Ryan Munger with zero wins from two rides. What's also interesting is that there have been four bets at Flamingo Park and all four lost. Clairwood was best, now no more off course, I had 2 winners from 3 bets there. A happy memory for me at least. I've still got 87 bets to go, so things can change a lot. Tomorrow I'm on honeymoon, so I'm not sure how many system bets I'll get in, but I'll try and sneak a few in from my new base for a few days.

Ok, I've managed to sneak away and have a look. I only received one dirty look. I won't be playing Kenilworth due to the heavy going. The system has thrown up the following selections for Turffontein should they start as favourite...

I had to have a look on Formgrids at the last race's result that I bet yesterday. My horse, with a merit rating of 75 was beaten by 6.75 lengths into second by a horse with a merit rating of 44 JET FOR JOY and that had run unplaced in it's last 8 runs. Incredible, no wonder I'm not particularly fond of Flamingo Park racing. Has there been an investigation into this massive increase in form? My guess is no. Is this kind of thing good for South African horse racing, my guess again is no.

LD, I hope that dirty look was from your GRACY CAT after you did the RODEO DANDY and you didnt just give her SEVEN WHISPERS so you could get away to re-load your WEAPONOLOGY !!

I'm back! to continue on my mission.....Which is to test whether a casual horse player that follows a system can beat the horses and show a profit after 100 R20 bets on Interbet. Apparently, only about 2% of all horse players show a long term profit. Can I join their ranks?

If you wondering how the honeymoon went.... it was awesome! I am now 3.5 kg's heavier than when I left though, but far more relaxed. I can highly recommend Umngazi River Bungalows near Port St John's in the Eastern Cape's Wild Coast should you wish to kick back and relax for a few days and enjoy some excellent food and drinks.

Okay, back to the racing. I have to say I was glad to see that today's racing is on the turf and that the going is good. This is what the system likes, remember I will only back them should they start as favourite on Interbet...

Hi Lucky. Glad to hear Umngazi still obviously offering great hospitality. Was last there a few years ago. One of my most favourite places. Anyway, good luck with your '' system'', hope it starts coming right for you. Personally I think you would do better playing it on UK flat racing. Just my opinion though. Break a leg.

Thanks for your input Chrism. I will tweak the system after the 100 bets are done. I think 100 is enough. I'm just interested why you think it may work better with UK flat racing?

Mainly because it seems to me that the favourites appear to arrive more often there, which would favour your system. However, I don't play favourites much so I could be wrong of course. I do prefer to play UK racing though. I seem to have much more success there. Anyway, just my opinion.Good luck.

TIGER FLAME looks like it's going to start as favourite. My new wedding ring will also be doubling up as my lucky horse racing charm and will get a rub for luck when my selections run. 21 Minutes to the off and nearly R14000 bet on it already, someone out there seems to like it...
